How can Blue Ridge Women’s Center serve women at no cost to them?
Like our donors, our volunteers are a key part of the answer. The Center relies on people who care about the women we serve to donate their time and abilities in a wide variety of roles.

Available Volunteer Positions

Ultrasound Chaperone

The chaperone will be present as a BRWC representative while the sonographer/nurse performs an ultrasound for clients. Chaperone is not responsible for meeting any client needs or providing medical services. More info…


Sonographer

The sonographer will perform ultrasounds and work directly with the client to address and meet needs. Flexible schedule. Evening availability is a bonus, but certainly not required. More info…


Nurse

A nurse is responsible for implementing medical services offered under the guidance of our Nurse Manager, including pregnancy testing, addressing client needs and more. More info…


Physician’s Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

The Volunteer PA or NP is responsible for implementing medical services offered to meet client needs. Responsibilities include performing pregnancy tests, STD testing, etc. More info…


Cleaning Team Members

This is our biggest need right now – volunteers who come in on a regular basis to clean BRWC. We want to provide a warm, welcoming and clean safe haven for our clients. More info…


Pregnancy Options Counselor

Counselors provide support, resources, answer questions and provide information about each of the choices for her pregnancy – adoption, parenting & abortion. No matter what choice she makes, Blue Ridge Women’s Center will also be there for her. More info…
